Motorbike Rental FAQ
Yes. You’ll need a valid SIM C (Indonesia) or an International Driving Permit that covers motorcycles for the entire rental period. Please bring the physical document when you pick up the bike.
Absolutely. Rider and passenger must wear helmets at all times—this is the law in Indonesia. Any police fines for not wearing a helmet are the renter’s responsibility.
Payment is due when you receive the bike. Want to keep it longer? Just let us know and pay in advance to confirm the extension. Early returns are generally non-refundable, though we’ll try to help if circumstances are special. Card payments may include a small processing fee.
A security deposit is not required on every booking. It depends on the provider and the unit, and if one applies we confirm the amount, hold method, and refund conditions with you before payment or handover.
Our standard minimum rental period is three (3) days. Shorter bookings may be declined or handled under special terms or pricing, so please confirm with us before booking if you need less than three days.
Not by default — insurance is optional. You can add it during booking or at pickup. Coverage and pricing can vary by bike and provider, but in general: (1) it helps with accidental on-road damage, (2) tires/punctures are usually excluded, and (3) theft/total loss aren’t covered. If something happens, message us within 12 hours with photos/video and we’ll guide you through the claim. Not sure which plan to choose? No, sorry. Our bikes are for paved roads only. Off-road use (beach, trails, sand, fields) is not allowed and isn’t covered by insurance.
Only the person named on the rental agreement. Lending or sub-renting is not permitted. Need to add another rider? Message us first so we can approve and update the booking.
Make sure everyone is safe, then contact us or the provider immediately with photos, location, and a short description. Do not approve repairs on your own. The provider confirms the next steps, and any charges depend on the damage review and the provider's coverage terms.
If you didn’t add optional insurance, you’ll be responsible for repair costs. When damage makes the bike unridable due to your fault, there may be a documented “downtime” charge for lost rental days until it’s fixed. All repairs must be approved by us and done at our partner workshops—please don’t authorize your own repairs (punctures and basic emergency fixes are fine, just inform us).
Punctures and tire damage are considered everyday riding risks and aren’t covered by insurance. You can fix a puncture at any tire shop; keep the receipt and let us know.
No. Our optional plans focus on accidental on-road damage and cosmetic scratches. Theft or total loss isn’t included—please be mindful where you park and always lock the bike.
No, these aren’t included in the rental. If you want liability or personal accident coverage, we recommend arranging your own travel insurance or a local policy before riding.
Only with prior written approval. Off-island travel requires extra steps (and a deposit for original documents). Insurance, if purchased, normally applies within Bali only unless we confirm otherwise.
Delivery and pickup can often be arranged, but the area, timing, meeting point, and any fee depend on the provider, the unit, and the route for that day. We confirm the workable handover plan with you before payment or handover.
Many providers can hand over at a hotel or villa, and some can also arrange airport delivery or pickup. It is not universal for every unit or route, so we confirm availability, timing, meeting point, and any fee before you pay or travel to the handover.
Sometimes, yes, if a provider can still confirm the unit and handover window in time. Same-day requests depend on live availability, your location, and the requested timing, so the earlier you message us the better. We confirm first, then ask you to proceed with payment.
Please return it personally, clean and in the same condition as received. If you can’t meet in person, a handling fee may apply (up to US$50). At pickup we note any existing scratches/dents—this protects you from end-of-rental charges for pre-existing marks.
No stress—tell us immediately. Keys are replaced at cost (varies by model and immobilizer). Lost registration/original documents have a fixed replacement fee and may take time to reissue.
If you cancel before the rental starts, a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the total rental cost may apply. After the rental has started, including early returns, bookings are generally non-refundable. If your booking is under three days or on a special monthly package, please confirm the specific cancellation terms with us in advance because they can differ.

Use Pertamax (RON 92) or higher — it’s the safest, cleanest choice for our engines and gives smoother performance. Avoid low-octane fuel (e.g., Pertalite) on newer or larger bikes. Please refuel at official Pertamina stations rather than roadside bottles when possible, don’t mix different fuels or additives, and return the bike with roughly the same level it had at pickup.
